{Review} Rise Of The Guardians

We were invited to the preview of DreamWorks Animation's, Rise of the Guardians a 3D computer-animated film, which will be in theaters just in time for the holidays, November 21st!

Think you know about Santa Claus, Easter Bunny,
Tooth Fairy, and Sandman? Take those ideas and throw them out the window, as Rise Of The Guardians will dispel anything you think you know about them!

Meet North (Alec Baldwin), Jack (Chris Pine), Tooth (Isla Fisher), Bunnymund (Hugh Jackman), Sandy, and Pitch (Jude Law); each of them has a story to tell, and as Guardians they combat the forces of evil. As the Guardians of Wonder, Hope, Memories, Dreams, they stand together to protect the children of the world.

The movie opens with a cold day, and a boy named Jamie goes for a wild sled ride, thanks to Jack Frost. Be prepared for the wonders of 3D to send snow flakes swirling into the audience, as Jacks story unfolds. Jack is soon summoned to the North Pole, when many of the world's children are no longer blissfully sleeping, due to Pitch spreading fear through nightmares. (My three year old found this scene a little startling, but soon laughed and giggled once he saw the North Pole.)

You will love the elves and their silly antics at the North Pole! Think you know all about Santa? You will learn all about the warrior, know as North who has tattoos of naughty and nice on his arms!

When Jack is given the honor of joining the Guardians, to save the children of the world, he questions why he was chosen. He soon learns that he had a life prior to being Jack Frost, but lacks the memories of his childhood. Tooth and the other Guardians promise to help him on his quest, as they battle fear and the disbelief that is taking over the world.

Both of my children loved the film, rocked their 3D glasses, and gave the movie 4 thumbs up! Run out on the 21st of November, and see this great family film!
